Clear Lens Becomes Cloudy

Cataract: The clear lens becomes cloudy

Cataracts are the most common cause of vision loss in adults. As people age, the clear lens becomes cloudy, causing a gradual blurring of vision. Dr. Reiter's patients have seen how spectacularly successful cataract surgery can be for improving their vision. Many patients choose to realize their lifelong goal to be more independent of glasses and contacts when planning their cataract surgical procedure. Dr. Reiter's extensive surgical experience and high-tech office enable him to educate his patients on their options and maximize their chances to attain what he likes to describe as 20/happy vision.

During the surgery, the cloudy lens is removed through a small incision using ultrasound and replaced with an IOL that is chosen just for you. You will have the option of having your surgery done with a femtosecond laser for additional precision and astigmatism correction. Standard lens replacement will relieve the symptoms of your cataracts and greatly improve your vision. Some patients choose to have distance optimized vision, where glasses are used for near tasks and to correct astigmatism. Many patients, however, wish to minimize their use of glasses for both far and near vision and opt to select premium IOL surgery. Our goal is to create a solution that complements your lifestyle and minimizes risk while letting you achieve your dreams of great vision.

Dr. Reiter and his friendly staff understand that this is a major decision and devote the time needed to educate each and every patient so that they feel comfortable with the decision-making process. His office will also take hardships into account and are happy to work with cash patients. Call Dr. Reiter today for a consultation and start seeing the world clearer!
